A Forgotten Dwayne Johnson Remake Is Now On Netflix

If Black Adam is making you yearn in search of more Dwayne Johnson film masterpieces We'd like to let you know the film he directed in 2004, Walking Tall, is now streaming on Netflix.

The film is a remake of the classic film from the 1970s and includes Johnson in his post-WWE days, early in his film career, with an underdog tale specifically crafted by Director Kevin Bray (Succession).

The film follows the story of retired Special Forces Sergeant Chris Vaughn who is returned to the small town of rural Washington state and is surprised to discover that the town has changed drastically since when he left.

The mill that has been a major contributor to the town's economy has shut down and there is a casino owned by his former acquaintance Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough, Yellowstone).

Jay as well as his employees have introduced crime and drugs in the city, and, of course, Chris clashes with them.

Chris discovers his former friend in High School Deni (Ashley Scott) is currently a stripper in the casino.

When Chris discovers that the nephew of his Pete (Khleo Thomas) purchased crystal meth at the casino, Chris goes on a spree.

He destroys the casino in one go and the casino staff brutally beat him, cutting his body with the help of a knife.

The sheriff who is cozy with the casino refuses to bring charges or clamp down on them. Chris is forced to stand for the office of sheriff and is elected.

As the sheriff, Chris starts in the pursuit of holding Jay and the staff at the casino accountable while carrying an enormous wood 2x4 in order to enforce justice in the process.
