Andy Roddick's Reaction To Roger Federer Goes Viral

The morning of Thursday the legendary Roger Federer announced that he's taking a break from tennis.

He'll play in the Laver Cup in London next week , before officially sailing off to the sunset.

"As many of you know, the past three years have presented me with challenges in the form of injuries and surgeries.

I've worked hard to return to full competitive form. But I also know my body's capacities and limits, and its message to me lately has been clear," Federer stated.

"I have reached the age of 41. I've played in more than 1500 matches in the span of 24 years.

Tennis has been more generous to me than I could ever imagined, and I have to recognize the moment to retire from competitive tennis.

"Laver Cup next week in London will be my final ATP event. I will play more tennis in the future, of course, but just not in Grand Slams or on the tour."

Andy Roddick, who had many intense battles with Federer throughout his career, was a comical reaction to the news.

Roddick posted on Twitter, "Also, seems like a good time to start training for Wimby." But, of course, Roddick was obviously kidding.

Roddick was in the championship round of Wimbledon three times throughout his playing career, in 2004and 2005.
