Tomb Raider has been a sleeper franchise for more than two decades.

Based on the well-known Square Enix game, which was first released in 1996

the game has had some difficulties growing into a fully-fledged film-based franchise.

On the other hand, the game has had many chapters and successful releases.

In the event of MGM having lost the rights to further explore it and audiences are likely to see another studio to acquire it and then make a fresh start.

But, the studio that wins the rights will have the opportunity to create Tomb Raider right.

It was 2001 when Angelina Jolie invaded cinemas with her interpretation of Lara Croft

a British adventurer archaeologist who became famous thanks to the game Tomb Raider

which saw the protagonist discover ancient tombs and battle things like dinosaurs and the old gods from Egypt.
