Candace Cameron Bure talks about the importance of sex in marriage.

The actor of 46 admitted that being intimate can be one of the most "important" parts of her and husband Valeri Bure's wedding.

The ex-hockey player was married for 26 years and has a daughter Natasha 24 and two sons Lev 22 as well as Maksim, 20.

During a chat on the most recent installment of "Mayim Bialik's Breakdown podcast," the former "Fuller House" star said

they "don't have a schedule" for intimacy, but "make time to spend time with one another (and) remain in love with physically. "

"I'm a happier person and my husband's a happier person when we've had sex," she said to Bialik.

Bure expressed her displeasure with the fact that "sex within the marriage gets such negative a reputation. "

"And there's a chance that it can happen in marriages when things go downhill ... However, (that's) more of a reason (to take it on)," she said.

"In our world today it's always"Oh, you've been married for 10 years.

When was the last date you had a sexual encounter?' This is always the joke and it's hilarious, and I'm able to take it as a compliment. "

She said her intention to not "talk about my sex life" or make her kids freak out, but she believes it's "important to discuss the positive aspects of a healthy sex lifestyle in marriage might be by saying that it's crucial.
