Cardi B pleads guilty to assault charges in 2018 incident 

A songwriter and rapper Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, better known as the screen name Cardi B 

has admitted guilt to assault charges related to a scuffle in the year 2018 in the New York strip club in an Queens court. 

She was scheduled to go on trial in the case , but decided to sign a plea bargain which allowed her to be released from prison. 

She was charged with the third degree of assault as well as second-degree reckless endangerment 

the other 10 accusations against her have been dismissed. 

The sentence includes 15 days of community service as well as an the order to remain away from those she had been associated with. 

Additionally, she must pay their court costs. Both charges will be dismissed when Cardi B has completed the community work.
