After battling illnesses for "the last seven years," TikToker Dixie D'Amelio shared on an Instagram live feed that she was diagnosed as having premenstrual dysphoric disorders.

PMDD is "severe often disabling and severe expansion of premenstrual syndrome (PMS),"

which can trigger "extreme mood swings that could affect daily life and harm relations," according to the Mayo Clinic.

"I sort of took an absence from social media over the last two weeks. I was feeling ill and I wasn't sure what the reason was," D'Amelio, 21

speaking in a Livestream that she originally shared through her Instagram and then shared widely on TikTok.

After declaring her condition "The D'Amelio Show" star explained that the condition "really influences your moods as well as your behavior as well as other aspects in your daily life."

"I didn't realize the extent to which it was impacting me until I came to the stage I am in the last week.

It really affects my lifestyle and my character and attitude as well as my relationships and what I'm like as a person" she told me and added that it impacts her anxiety. "And it's obvious in the next two seasons of this show."

D'Amelio revealed that she's been suffering from PMDD symptoms, which have had a negative impact on her mental well-being.
