Joffrey Velaryon's death will be even more devastating. Lucy's Velaryon, who was riding away from Storm's End, was killed by Vhagar, Aemond Targaryen's dragon.

Vhagar's size, which is rumored to have been nearly a century after his death, meant that Lucerys' death was not necessarily swift.

Although he would have been badly injured by Vhagar's jaws chomping on him, it is unlikely that Vhagar killed him immediately after he was swallowed.

Vhagar's horrific House of the Dragon attack is made worse by the fact it officially starts the Dance of the Dragons. This is the Westerosi civil war.
