Don’t Worry Darling Is Peak White Feminism

Don't Worry Darling continues a long line of movies about female catharsis, misogyny,

but fails to acknowledge racism. It also quickly falters when trying to criticize patriarchy.

From production through its release on September 23rd, Olivia Wilde's second film has been rocky.

The film was hit hard by production delays due to Covid, and a change in the lead actor.

This was not the only problem. The tabloids were also more interested in Wilde's relationship with Styles.

Florence Pugh was absent during the press run. Although Don't Worry Darling appears to be attracting all the wrong kind of attention

I hoped that beneath the drama, there would be a decent enough movie to make it worthwhile.
