Here's How Old Maisie Williams Was When She Got Cast In GOT

Maisie Williams may be small in height, but the "Game of Thrones" character has a long shadow that is visible on screen.

In the role of Arya, Stark Williams overcame her father and mother as well as her older brother, Robb Stark, to be an extremely terrifying assassin of Westeros.

She was not only one of only a handful of characters to live through the entire eight seasons and even the entire series

but Arya was also able to put her faceless assassin abilities to the test by killing her fellow assassin, the Night King in the climactic Battle of Winterfell.

That's right: A girl may not have a name but she has the ability to use the Valyrian sword made of steel.

Despite the feat's heroic nature, Williams was unsure that Arya was worthy of the honors.

"It had to be intelligently done because otherwise, people are like, 'Well, [the villain] couldn't have been that bad when some 100-pound girl comes in and stabs him.'

You gotta make it cool," she said to Entertainment Weekly. But, a lot of viewers felt that the decision was a good one.

According to TVInsider, Arya was always planned to be great (despite her young age).
