"House of Dragon" star Milly Alcock has decided not to reprise her fantasy role after her role in Rhaenyra Targaryen. 'I don't have the need to repeat it

Australian actress Milly Alcock soared to international recognition in 2022 due to her character Rhaenyra Targaryen on the HBO series "House of the Dragon,"

which takes place 200 years prior to what happens in "Game of Thrones," and follows the demise of House Targaryen as a result of the bloody civil conflict.

The actor, who is 22 years old, plays Rhaenyra's younger counterpart Rhaenyra in the initial five seasons of the show before a major time jump brings the story forward by 10 years. Emma D'Arcy picks up the role.

The actress recently talked about the ways in which "House of the Dragon" has affected her life, interviewing The Herald Sun.

She stated: "It was and still is genuinely life-changing and I am still adjusting and it's all very strange.

But there's also this element of, 'This is probably all going to be temporary and it will die down.'"

Even though Alcock's performance in Rhaenyra was greeted with many praises from both fans and critics alike, Alcock isn't eager to follow up her performance by playing a different fantasy character.

"I'm not doing any fantasy roles. I don't want to do anything like that. I have done it and I don't need to do it again. I am just kind of waiting for the right project. I am not in a rush to jump on something," the actor added.
