"M3GAN" just got its rating for the content which means that horror buffs are ready to go to the brink

When it is about horror, the majority of people are aware of what they want.

They are looking to be scared of their skin, whether it's terrifying psychological terror, gore, the blood of jump-scares, or slow burns that mess up your brain.

What they do not want is anything "safe" and with the highly anticipated horror film M3GAN's recent ratings certain viewers are losing interest.

Rating systems are designed to ensure that both the theater and the viewer are aware of the kind of content in a movie that could not be suitable for other audiences, particularly young children.

If a movie is full of violence, swearing, nakedness, physical intimacy, or is just plain frightening, it will likely be given the R grade (restricted) or perhaps an NC-17 (adults only).

The Conjuring series is entirely classified as R because of the "disturbing violence and terror," the Saw franchise is similarly classified as R (with an original version of the film being rated NC-17)
