Margot Robbie says police had to shut down 'Amsterdam' filming

"Amsterdam" has one of the most impressive ensemble castings of the year featuring director David O. Russell assembling Margot Robbie

Christian Bale as well as John David Washington to lead the 1930s-set comedy.

But it appears that the director was determined to get the best out of his cast

as police officers were forced to stop production after Russell was not willing to end filming, according to Robbie.

The actor addressed the issue in "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," explaining that the permit for the production had expired.

He said: "You get a permit to shoot in a location. It was Pasadena and the permit was over.

"And the producers were freaking out and David's still going and Christian is still acting," she said.
