The 55-year old wrote on his Daily Mail column: "In the short time I had to observe Romero taking Cucurella's hair I didn't think it was a violent action.

"I've looked at the video and have talked to other referees, and, after review I ought to have requested Taylor to come to his pitch-side monitor and take a look at himself.
