released a joint statement in response to their former nanny's allegations, Wilde attended the 29th annual Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration,

where she spoke in which she spoke about the drama of her personal life and the film she directed, Don't be worried, Darling.

"I was an actress who started producing and then finally got the courage to start directing, and I wouldn't have started any of it at all if I knew Twitter would be invented," she joked.

Wilde in a stunning black, tea-length gown, continued her speech by describing why celebrations of women "are crucial" and "extremely impactful" in our time and time.
