Rafael Nadal plays down 'importance' of women's US Open issue 

Rafael Nadal has insisted that Rafael Nadal is not concerned about the ongoing dispute 

about the different balls that female and male players prior to the US Open, which is scheduled to begin in the coming week. 

Many of the biggest players in women's tennis have recently urged tournament organizers to change 

the heavier balls utilized in the tournament by WTA players to balls that are utilized by male players in protest over their poor level of performance levels. 

The decision to supply the female athletes with alternative balls for the US Open and its lead-up hard-court events has sparked a lot of criticism 

with some like of Paula Badosa and Iga Swiatek have expressed displeasure with this issue over the past few weeks.
