Shakira has dropped her highly anticipated track "Monotonia," a gorgeous bachata duet that features the legendary Puerto Rican singer-rapper Ozuna.

The track was released along with an official music video that was shot in the Spanish city of Manresa, Spain.

"Monotonia" is the follow-up to the huge success of her previous track, "Te Felicito," which she co-wrote with Rauw Alejandro.

The track received a Latin Grammy nod for record of the year. Based on the material so far, it appears Shakira's upcoming project which is not yet titled

will stem directly from her current highly public breakup with soccer player Gerard Pique, with whom she has two kids.

While "Te Felicito" was a sarcastic rebuke dedicated to all lying exes, "Monotonia" is a track about coping with the pain and trying to understand the reason behind the hurt.
