Sofía Jirau, 24, Becomes Victoria's Secret's First Model with Down Syndrome: 'Dream Come True'
A Puerto Rican model has become the first woman with Down syndrome to be featured in a Victoria’s Secret campaign.
Sofía Jirau has officially made history, becoming the first Victoria's Secret model with Down syndrome.
The 24-year-old Sofía Jirau shared the news on social media,
joining the fashion brand along with 17 other women for a new underwear line and campaign, Love Cloud Collection
“One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true
I can finally tell you my big secret . . . I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome,”
Jirau kick started her modeling career in 2019 and has become a popular on social media.
The model and entrepreneur boasts more than 200,000 followers on Instagram.
She runs a successful online fashion store and campaigns to raise awareness about Down syndrome.
The “Love Cloud” campaign featuring Jirau is Martinez’s first major project for Victoria’s Secret.
