Taika Waititi Confirms Dwayne Johnson Easter Egg

If you believed that the closing scenes in Thor: Love and Thunder included a homage toward Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson You're right.

Saturday, Love and Thunder helmer Taika Waititi confirmed his character Korg's partner was named Dwayne after the wrestler-turned-blockbuster superstar.

"No coincidence baby," the filmmaker tweeted in response to an image shared by a fan about Korg in a costume as The Rock in his now-infamous Fanny pack image.

It is explained that Kronans cannot have children with their hands held and sing in front of the flame.

The film ends with a closing scene, Korg and Dwayne, a character who appears identical to Korg

with a mustache--can be seen singing along while they are holding hands on an active volcano.

"One is, it's the director. So, you're dealing with an actor who's actually really the director, and then is 100% a visual effect," said he went on.

And then the second part of that, is you've got to have them form comedy, which as anybody will tell you, I think all actors would, drama is hard

but comedy is significantly harder," Ragarnok's VFX director Jake Morrison once told ComicBook.com of Korg's design.
