Unauthorized Queer Joker Movie Set In Batman Universe Pulled From Release

The People's Joker is a queer coming of age movie set in the Batman universe. 

It has been pulled from Toronto Film Festival. According to TIFF's official synopsis 

it is about a struggling clown who struggles with her gender identity and dreams of appearing in a sketch series on TV in Gotham City.

Comedy has been illegalized in this city. After failing an audition, she team up with another comedian 

to create their own comedy troupe which attracts "a rogues gallery of would-be comedians. 

" Drew, a trans comedian herself, is Drew's first directorial feature. 

Drew spoke to Zoom on Tuesday, the day before the film premiered.
